Steve Hofmann was named President, International in July 2015. In this position, he is responsible for driving growth and ensuring outstanding execution in the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Italy, France and our joint venture in China, and for ensuring that global services and resources are being effectively deployed to serve QVC’s International markets.
Steve has been instrumental in the growth, revitalization or launch of multiple QVC markets, building strong executive teams in each to elevate the QVC brand and drive performance. Most recently, he fostered the rejuvenation of QVC’s operations in Japan.
From May 2012 to July 2015, Steve provided leadership to all European markets as CEO of QVC Europe, including business oversight, market expansion and regional coordination. In 2014, he also served as CEO of QVC Germany and repositioned these operations for long-term success. In 2010, Steve led QVC’s entry into Italy and served as CEO through 2013. He developed the market launch strategies, formed the team, instilled them with QVC’s culture and business model, and firmly established the QVC brand in this new geography. Previously, he served as CEO for QVC UK.
Steve has significant international experience in television and television retailing industries achieved through relevant roles in America, Europe and Asia. He joined QVC in 2007 from Jupiter Shop Channel in Japan, where he served as Co-CEO. He also served as CFO for Jupiter TV, Japan’s largest multichannel television provider. In addition to his experience in television retailing, Steve has a wealth of global television experience, having worked with NBC in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, and serving as CFO of NBC’s Asian operations. Steve started his career at Price Waterhouse.
Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lehigh University.
